Tydings is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Diane V. D'Aiutolo was recently elected to serve on Maryland Carey Law's Board of Visitors. Diane is one of seven new members who bring a deep professional and philanthropic dedication to Maryland Carey Law. The board members serve as trusted advisors in advancing the school's priorities across key areas, including advancement, alumni engagement, career development, student wellness, and admissions.
A veteran trial attorney, Diane has advocated for a diverse range of clients across tort and commercial litigation in both state and federal jurisdictions. Her clients include hospitals, managed care organizations, local and national businesses, physicians, and a national pharmacy chain. Diane has served as outside general counsel to physician practices and counseled clients on risk management, claims, and transactional matters. She has also successfully resolved thousands of cases through mediation to her clients' satisfaction.
Diane has a rich legacy of public service, volunteering her time and leadership to numerous legal and professional organizations throughout her career. She serves on the Trial Courts Judicial Nominating Commission for Baltimore City, and is an elected member of the American Board of Trial Attorneys and Litigation Counsel of America. Diane has also served as the Maryland State Representative to the Defense Research Institute, President of the Maryland Association of Defense Trial Counsel, a member of the Board of Directors of Commercial Law Affiliates (now Meritas), and a member of the Commission of the Maryland Judiciary on Pro Bono.
