For the twelfth consecutive year, Chambers and Partners has favorably ranked the Tyding’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice team in its latest edition of Chambers USA Guide. In the recently released 2024 edition, Chambers has elevated the Bankruptcy/Restructuring practice from Band 3 to Band 2, a testament to the team's acumen and exceptional client service.
Chambers and Partners is an independent research company that delivers detailed rankings and insight into the world's leading law firms. The Chambers research process involves extensive interviews with law firm clients and peers at other firms, along with an in-depth review of recent cases handled by the firm.
In addition to overall firm ratings, Chambers also provides rankings for individual lawyers based on their legal knowledge and experience, effectiveness, and client service. Tydings attorneys were recognized as leaders in two practice areas:
- Bankruptcy/Restructuring: Rich Costella, Alan Grochal, and Joseph Selba
- Transportation, Shipping/Maritime: Alexander Giles
When Chambers ranks Shipping/Maritime attorneys for Litigation, it splits those rankings between “New York” and “Outside New York” maritime attorneys. The “New York” list includes 32 attorneys, whereas the “Outside New York” list only includes 28 attorneys. Giles, a maritime attorney based primarily in Maryland, is the only attorney in the 2024 edition from the area encompassing Pennsylvania down to Georgia.
Diane V. D'Aiutolo, the firm's managing partner, sees this recognition as a testament to the firm's longstanding reputation and the experience of its attorneys. She emphasizes, "Tydings lawyers are committed to being trusted counsel and skilled advocates for our clients. We are deeply grateful for the recognition of our partners' expertise and the bankruptcy department's collective efforts."
